Red Glyphs
Blue Glyphs
Yellow Glyphs
As survivors have likely noticed in Dead by Daylight, strange, small, and colorful portals will sometimes materialize in random parts of the map. These are Glyphs and they can be closed by players to gain Bloodpoints, so it is recommended to commune with a Glyph every time that one is spotted, despite the temporary increase to one's visibility.

There are three variants to Glyphs Challenges: Red Glyphs, Blue Glyphs, and Yellow Glyphs, each being easily distinguishable by color. They all have a slightly different effect, so be prepared when approaching and shutting these tiny and vibrant rifts in Dead by Daylight.
Red Glyphs
Red Glyphs are the only kind of Glyph that can be interacted with by both survivors and killers, though, like all Glyphs, only 1 player can see and interact with them at a time. However, also like with all Glyphs, communing with a Red Glyph will result in the player being more visible for the time they are interacting with the colorful rift. Red Glyphs will make the player's visibility increase for a radius of 8 meters.

The interaction times will differ whether one is playing as a survivor or killer, with survivors needing 3 seconds to close the rift and killers needing only 1.5 seconds to do the same. There are no other gimmicks surrounding Red Glyphs, so after interacting with one, players are free to go about whatever they were doing before.
Blue Glyphs
Blue Glyphs are only available to survivors and come with a slightly different communing experience, albeit still for Bloodpoints like all Glyphs. The interaction time with Blue Glyphs is 3 seconds and will increase the player's visibility in a 10-meter radius.

However, after closing the small blue rift, players will be afflicted with either the Blindness or Oblivious status effects for 60 seconds, making them easily the most dangerous Glyphs to close. Blindness will prevent players from being able to use Aura-reading abilities and Oblivious will prevent players from being able to hear the heartbeat of a killer within their Terror Radius.
Yellow Glyphs
Out of all the Glyphs, the Yellow Glyph takes the longest to interact with at 5 full seconds, and, in addition to this, it also makes the player more visible for 16 meters. While the Blue Glyph results in the most debilitating effects, Yellow Glyphs make one much more vulnerable due to the lengthy time requirement and the huge visibility radius.
Furthermore, when communing with a Yellow Glyph, players will have to pass multiple skill checks via simple reflex-based mini-games, which, if failed, will cause the Yellow Glyph to teleport elsewhere on the map.
Dead by Daylight is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, Stadia, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
