I have been a student of Somerset Academy since 6th grade, and I truly have enjoyed my experience there. This school prepared me greatly for college and I have learned, grown, and changed in so many beneficial ways through the teachers, staff, and students. I want to see more opportunities become known among the students. A lot of the incoming freshman dont know what AP classes are or how to get scholarships from a young age. I really hope that the school begins to make it clearer to students what sort of classes they need to take to get them into the college of their dreams, before it is too late.

Best: all the events on campus, also the principal was very active on campus, and want to connect with students
Worst: college prep for seniors needs to improve. I think it’s had for one person to do it for all seniors. Also I understand admin want to push student to the highest academic level they can handle, but when a student says they feel as though a specific (non mandatory) class is not for them, staff needs to listen. Because at the end of the day, it is just hurting the student in the long run.

The best experience is I have attended since kindergarten through my junior year and will be graduating with my peers that I’ve been going to school since kindergarten so it’s a very close net school and everyone looks out for each other.
In regards to changes I would say recently the school grew very quickly after Covid and I don’t think they were ready for it. They are now getting more prepared, but they were two years where it seemed unorganized and crowded. It was hard to get assistance with dual enrollment and actually to even be noticed as they seemed understaffed.

I have attended Somerset Academy throughout my middle and high school years and I love it! The teachers and staff care about their students, and are always available for assistance and support. There are many opportunities to join different clubs and sports. Teachers take pride in teaching us and the academic classes are rigorous and push students to work hard, but also enjoy the lessons. I am proud to be a Somerset Panther, and I will cherish the memories and the friends that I have made for many years to come. I have learned so much during my time at Somerset, and have always had wonderful experiences. I don't have anything negative to say about my time at Somerset. I know that nothing is perfect, and that schools can always work to improve, however, Somerset has always provided me with a great education, caring teachers, a clean and secure environment, so there's nothing I would change. Somerset has proven to be a great school and I will miss it when I'm gone.

My time at Somerset has been fantastic. The environment is really welcoming and supportive. I'd love to see more opportunities and programs, especially ones geared towards medical or culinary enthusiasts.

Most of the teachers are really great, especially the AP, DE, and AICE teachers. The campus and classrooms are extremely old and could really use a revamp.

The school is pretty great. The teachers are nice as well as the students. Lots of courses are provided. Many students take part in the AP/AICE program and excel

I've been here since freshman year and I have had a very good experience with the school. These past few years have helped me become a better student and a better person due to the help of the teachers, staff and my felloe classmates. I would like the school to change back to having study hall, it helped me to do my homework when we still had the class in sophom*ore year. I'm sure if they bring it back, it will help the students to facilitate finishing their school assignments on time.

Overall, my experience with Somerset Academy has been great. The best parts of my experience are having opportunities to join clubs that fit my interests, making friends, and getting to enjoy many fun school events throughout the year. One thing that I would like to see change is the schedule. I feel like our school should bring back study hall to give us time to work on homework and unwind a little, especially for AP kids since they get a lot of work.

I went to this school since 7th grade and since I was there I enjoyed every moment. kids in this school treat each other like family... The teachers genuinely care about their students and want them to succeed throughout Middle-Highschool and get them ready for college.

Somerset Academy is a good overall school, but it does have its flaws. Most of the school population, including students and staff, is over 80 percent Hispanic or Latino. Most of all, the teachers are nice, and the academics are amazing. There aren't many clubs in the school, but there are a lot of students in the clubs the school has. The school lunch the school offers is terrible but they do make up for it by selling food like Pizza, churros, empanadas, pastries, etc

An overall good school. Its safe, the students want to achieve, and many classes are good. Lots depends on the individual teachers. Some are excellent, some are average. School is safe and administration is good.

My experience at Somerset Academy was very memorable because they well prepared me for college and what it was going to be like. My two favorite things that the high school offered were the class programs and advanced levels that it got to, as well as the sports/extracurricular activites such as clubs that they offered.

My experience at Somerset Academy has been amazing. The best part of my experience is being able to do what I love. There are many clubs to join to match your interests, and the school has many fun events throughout the year. The worst part of my experience is the amount of people the school has. Events become difficult to deal with because of the crowds I have to go through. I would want the school to manage the population so that I can have a better experience.

Overall I had a pleasant experience at Somerset. I was there for my whole high school career and every year I had teachers who seemed to both care about students and the content they were teaching. The worst experience I had largely relates to our forced online learning as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, which was rather demotivating and somewhat stunted by ability to form relationships with friends and teachers. Apart from that most of the people I interacted with were great and the programs I took part in were useful in helping me gain college credit to lessen my workload in college. Plenty of opportunities should you pursue them.

Somerset is great. The teachers are good and so are most of the students that attend. The only complaint I have is the uniform policy; we have to wear pants in the hot Miami weather.

During my time at this school, I was granted many educational opportunities, which I took full advantage of. I took several AICE classes in order to receive and AICE diploma by the time I graduated. In the AICE program, I was introduced to some of the best teachers I've ever had in my life. I was challenged beyond belief but those struggles allowed me to be the diligent and efficient student I am in college. I owe my ability to write to my AICE teachers, who pushed and supported me to grow despite all the doubts I had about my own success. While I can't say I enjoyed every class or even the overall school environment on most days, I am absolutely grateful for the teachers who gave their all to ensure that I graduated prepared to excel in college. It was only after I started taking classes in university that I realized how blessed I was to have to teachers I did in high school, and I would do it all over again if it meant being taught by them once more!
