  I called Tom for aquote torepair (replace the broken glass inmy windows) myhome ofwindows, heasked meto send him pictures ofthe windows togive mea “ball park pricing” soIdid. Isent 13picture all identified asto what needed tobe done. His tecnicians came out todo the repair and then informed methat their was anadditional $160.00per hour fee for the work above the fee for the window repair, which was not onthe quote Ireceived anywhere anywhere. Itold them Ididnt want the work done iftheir was going tobe that additional fee ontop ofthe pricing for the window repairs. They aggreed todo itfor the budget pricing and went ahead and started towork. They got half way done and told methat itwas going tobe double the cost ofwhich was quoted tofinish. Icalled Tom and wehad aconversation regarding his quote which stated

  1-30×32 existing wood window reglaze $158.15
  1-24×28 existing wood window reglaze $146.52
  1-40×12 existing wood sash reglaze $138.47

  looking atthe pricing I“ASSUME awood window means the window and asash means (1lower orupper) portion ofthe window. Heinformed methat that pricing isfor each “LIGHT” (or piece ofglass with inthe window), sowhere ifI had a30×32 window with 4pieces ofglass itwould cost about $600tofix not the quoted $158Icould buy anew high quality wood inside aluminum clad out side Pella window from lowes for $400and pay someone to$200toinstallit.

  basically when aquote says

  1-30×32 existing WOOD WINDOW reglaze $158.15
  1-24×28 existing WOOD WINDOW reglaze $146.52

  It does not mean the whole window rather 1piece ofglass within the window asfor the

  1-40×12 existing WOOD SASH reglaze $138.47

  I amnot sure why the wood sash pricing was there because the sash ispart ofthe window not the whole window.

  at the end ofthe day Ibelieve they decided they were going toget their $160per hour fee and manipulate their words toget paid for itand not offer anhonest service asthey should have.

  needless tosay Ihave 11pieces ofglass that still need replaced but due tothe fact the price would have gone through the roof Idecided tonot have them finish theirjob, the only reason Igave them 1star isbecause the technicians were good and did the work asthey were supposed toit isnot their fault Tom isnot honest.

  I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMMEND YOU GET ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED PRIOR TOHAVING THEM COMEOUT. Tom seems tohave the “used car salsman” mentality, get inthere and get started then hit them with the higher cost ordont finish the work.

  I would reccommend you call other window companies before setteling onthisone. Ifigured Small buissness need help inthese times but Igot fooled.

  The technicians come out toyour home and measure your windows give you atime and price you have topay half ofthe price ofthe window that they will use and I've used them before and they are the best window company inmy area

  They showed usa couple options for reinstalling our kitchen window. After tearing out most ofthe guts ofthe window, this will bea time saver and cost effective move.

  I visited H&R Window Repair after getting a$2500.00estimate toreplace three windows which had broken parts. The owner was able tofabricate the small parts which allowed the window tobe lowered. Hewas soexperienced and familiar with all the parts that Ineeded and the total cost was about $20.00! Ican completely recommend this business. Ifyou have windows that need repair, call H&R before replacing your windows!

  This company was not helpful atall when scheduling mywindow repair estimate. Ittook over 3weeks toget ontheir schedule and then they rescheduled myday/time 3times and continued tobook meout for another week and ahalf tocome tomy home. The man onthe phone seemed tonot care atall about the inconvenience and even told methat Icould gosomewhere else ifI was unhappy. Would never goback touse them again.

  SMALL little company. Scheduled anappointment 2weeks ago for 2weeks fromnow. Just received acall and the “estimator” has adoctors appointment sothey need toreschedule for next month?? Also, there lead time is3weeks. Founded in1959itsounds like the original founders are still woking there. Expect tohave windows in2months and deal with some very old people

  I have a1950's ranch which has two large bay windows inthe front. One window had abroken seal and Ineeded itreplaced and tomatch the other window. After reading HRwebsite and learning they had aunique background working with this kind ofchallenge, Icalled. Easy toget aquote and corresponded quickly. The work isdone and itmatches perfect They were very professional and Irecommend them.
