Let the good times roll! Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval is in full swing around the Universal Orlando Resort now through April 16, 2023. We’ve partied hard and have done it all to be able to bring you a full and complete guide to everything during Mardi Gras. Below, you’ll find everything from this year’s new merchandise, links to food and beverage reviews for more than 60 new items, and much more. Feet don’t fail us now!
The theme of this year’s festival is “mythical realms,” and merchandise reflects that with unicorns, dragons, and other creatures. Here is some of the merchandise available throughout Universal Orlando Resort:
- Spirit Jersey, T-shirts, jewelry, hats, bags, pins, keychains, candles, bags
- More candles and apparel, King Gator pouch, Halloween/Mardi Gras shirts, throw blanket
A souvenir light-up “blinky” cup is available with specialty drinks at the various food booths. These cups can also be used to get discounted refills on alcoholic drinks at all the Mardi Gras booths. Guests can also grab the Coca-Cola Freestyle for cheap refills during their trip.
In CityWalk, Cursed Coconut Club has its own T-shirt available.
Universal Orlando Annual Passholders can pick up some exclusive Mardi Gras merchandise, including a tee and bottle.

Mythical Realms of Mardi Gras Parade
About half of the Mardi Gras parade floats return every year, such as the classic Riverboat and King Gator. The others get new designs each year based on the event’s theme.
Guests can ride a parade float and toss beads by signing up the day of in the Universal Orlando Resort app or with the Float Ride and Dine Experience. Passholder-exclusive reservations are sold out.
Mardi Gras Tribute Store
This year’s Mardi Gras Tribute Store is the first to be in a new location in the Hollywood section of the park. The entrance is at Studio Styles, which used to be the UOAP Lounge. The store is themed to an international jazz celebration that leads to the traditional alleyways of New Orleans and ultimately into a speakeasy where the Mardi Gras festivities continue.
Pat O’Brien’s Mardi Gras After Party
Let the good times keep rolling into the night with Pat O’Brien’s Mardi Gras After Party at Universal CityWalk Orlando on select nights from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
