The Disneyland Paris Annual Pass is a ticket type that allows the holder access to the parks on certain days without buying an individual ticket. There are a range of different Disneyland Paris Annual Passes available and we’ll explain more about the different tiers and pricing below.

For the most part, the Disneyland Paris Annual Pass is purchased for the year and gives you access to certain perks and entrance to the parks over the course of the year. It allows you to ride your favorite Disneyland Paris Rides again and again!

The pass is valid for one person so you’ll need a pass for every member of your party but Disney does offer a 20% discount when you buy 5 or more Annual Passes for the same family (same address) at the same time.

What Are The Benefits Of Having A Disneyland Paris Annual Pass?

The savings. The money you could save buying a Disneyland Paris Annual Pass is one of the biggest benefits. And a lot of people don’t realise quite how much it could save them. Depending on when you are planning on going, even a 3 or 4 day trip could benefit from an Annual Pass.

Blockout Dates For Disneyland Paris

The different Annual Passes are valid for different periods of time and this is reflected by their pricing.

Discovery Pass Blockout Dates

The Discovery Pass is valid for 150 days of the year, which leaves 215 days blocked out. This includes almost every weekend and almost the entire months of July and August.

August: All dates blocked out

September: 5^th, 6^th, 12^th, 13^th, 19^th, 20^th, 26^th, 27^th

October: 3^rd, 4^th, 10^th, 11^th, 17^th-31^st

The Discovery Pass also doesn’t allow access for the 2^nd and 3^rd days after purchase of the Pass, so you aren’t able to activate it on the first day of a three day trip.

Magic Flex Pass Blockout Dates

The Magic Flex Pass is valid for double the amount of time as the Discovery Pass, giving holders access to the parks for 300 days out of the year. This only leaves 65 days blacked out and these are mostly focused around the Easter, October, and December holidays. The Magic Flex Pass is also valid for most weekends.

Magic Plus Pass Blockout Dates

The Magic Plus Pass adds another 50 days of validity to the Disneyland Paris Annual Pass, making this Pass valid for 350 days of the year. Meaning only 15 days are blocked out, mostly around Halloween and Christmas time.

October: 27^th, 28^th, 29^th, 30^th, 31^st

December: 27^th, 28^th, 29^th, 30^th, 31^st

2021 Blockout Dates:

January: 1^st, 2^nd

Infinity Pass Blockout Dates

The Infinity Pass has no blockout dates whatsover so holders can visit the parks all 365 days of the year.

How Can I Purchase My Disneyland Annual Pass?

There are a few ways to purchase a Disneyland Paris Annual Pass. The simplest way is to buy it over the phone before you go. You can also request a paper form that you fill in and mail back to Disneyland Paris. Or, you can buy your Disneyland Paris Annual Pass, or upgrade your ticket, inside the park.

You can choose to pay in one lump sum or you can split the cost across the year by paying monthly.

Can I Upgrade My Ticket To An Annual Pass?

In most instances, yes you can. If you visit the park with a standard 1-day admission ticket and decide you want to upgrade to an Annual Pass, you can go to the Annual Pass centre and upgrade. They will deduct the price of your ticket for you. Even if you decide a few days later you want to upgrade, this is still possible as you have up to 30 days to upgrade and have the price of your ticket deducted.

However, if you booked your trip as a holiday package (hotel+tickets) then unfortunately you won’t be able to upgrade your ticket as it is considered to have 0 value. You are still able to purchase an Annual Pass from the park but you would have to pay full price for it.

Should I Buy A Disneyland Paris Annual Pass?

Now that is the important question, but, alas, one we cannot answer for you. There are a lot of different things to consider about buying a Disneyland Paris Annual Pass and the information we’ve given you here should help with that decision.

If you consider it purely based on price then the difference between a 1-Day/2-Park ticket (between €79 and €109) and the Infinity Pass (€449) means you would need to visit the park for roughly 5/6 days for it to be worth it. But depending on the flexibility of your dates for visiting, you may be able to work with one of the lower tier Annual Passes and get bigger savings.

There are also a whole host of benefits that are worth considering such as the free parking and discounts on food and merchandise. If you know you won’t be driving there (you can check out our post about other ways to get from Paris to Disneyland Paris here), then the free parking doesn’t offer much benefit to you. But perhaps you would be buying a lot of merchandise so using that discount heavily. What we recommend to do is price up your trip to Disneyland Paris how you would want it: where you’d stay, how many park days, how you’re getting around, what you’d eat/buy, etc. If you know how much the trip is likely to cost you can begin to see if the savings offered by the Annual Pass would be worth it for your trip.
